Cape Town - at the southern tip of Africa - is home to a small artisan workshop that creates and produces an original and unique range of hand-crafted SPORRANS for kilt wearers and collectors around the world.
Infinite care is taken in the design and selection of each element as well as in the crafting of the final sporran,
so ensuring that no two are ever exactly the same. There is a distinctive fusion of iconic elements born in these two cultures, Celtic and African.
CELTIC knotwork with its characteristic zoomorphic and anthropomorphic interlaced intricacies in the silverware, melded with the exotic textures and colours of indigenous AFRICAN game skins and Nguni hides. There's also the occasional Scotland-particular Rampant Lion, stag and St Andrews forms for good measure.
Fully hand-crafted traditional sporrans, made by skilled craftsmen with care, absolute attention to detail and a little love. Only the finest leathers and perfectly tanned hides are used.
Exported to discerning kilt wearers and collectors worldwide, no two are ever quite the same. Our own created and produced silverware offers unique traditional and contemporary designs, with accessories to match. Although each sporran is completely hand-made using time-honoured tools and skills, we commonly take on smaller bulk orders for pipe bands and the like.
