Some hides refuse to be hurried.

This one has quietly sat on my rack for nearly half a year.

It’s a BLUE WILDEBEEST. -Not a particularly attractive buck, but the hide is rather special.

Those silver, dove and darker grey tones with striking lightening flash stripes on the shoulders. Its shades change with the light.

Every now and then I'd lift it down, hold it against a cantle or two, then put it back again.

It simply wasn't just waiting for the right sporran.

It was waiting for the right OWNER.

And now a bespoke order has come in.   Watch this space……
