MAKING MY MARK.

Discipline + Patience + Concentration = Detail that lasts.

Carefully select the leather.

(It talks to me through my hands).

Cut it to shape.

Tape up the back to avoid warping and distortion.

Mark the control lines.

Wet the face.

Pause.

Focus on the kind of bespoke sporran my customer wants to wear.

Place that first basket-weave tool on the centre line.

Pause.

Check the angle.

Strike.

Move and repeat.

Over and over….

Precision.   -Like a heartbeat.

Every stroke carefully controlled

Every mark counts.

Then the finger cramps begin

But the rhythm continues

Strike.

Move.

Repeat.

Making my mark.

One after another
