All our African game skins and Nguni are carefully selected from various well-established sources, ensuring that all are tanned and graded superior quality. Hides come from species harvested through properly managed farm practices and wholly In accordance with the CITES Agreement.

What kicked off as a home workshop hobby back in the ‘80s, took on a more serious turn in 1991 when demand through our retail store (staghorn button) and first website grew a little crazy. 
                   …So I learned a lot more about leather, wrote a business plan, did the homework and invested in serious tools, a larger workshop, lots of great hides and started designing a new range of cantles.

That process has never stopped and so for years since, we have refined the process and been exporting to kilt wearers, collectors, pipers and pipe bands around the world.

Every single sporran is meticulously hand-crafted in your choice of hide, cantle and tassel. Mass production will never be our thing.

We believe in quality, care, and creating unique heirloom products that everyone can enjoy. Designs, colours and textures are inspired by our Afro-Celtic roots. We hope they’ll inspire you too.
